Mix-ing things up in SoCal

Posted by Erin Ryan on Apr. 5, 2016

Excited to share this week that the latest expansion of our SoCal menu is now live for ordering. We call it Mixitarian and the basic idea is to provide more options for folks, building from the no gluten, no dairy foundation common to all our meals. Specifically, that means meals that go beyond Paleo to include gluten-free grains like brown rice and quinoa, some legumes, judicious use of natural sweeteners like honey and maple syrup and some fruits.

If that sounds yum to you, give the Mixitarian menu a try.

How to add Mix to your order

I want to give Mixitarian a try but don't want to go full throttle:
You can mod your menu (sub out paleo meals for mix meals)

I want to mix things up and change my order to all Mixitarian:
Change your meal preference from Paleo to Mixitarian (always having the option to mod into any meals on the menu)

And remember:
If there's an ingredient you wish to avoid, you can create a standing substitution here.

More on the approach

We start with a meat and veggie foundation and add in some
carbohydrates from safe (less inflammatory) and easy to digest grains like quinoa and rice. These meals can be a great addition to the endurance athlete’s meal regimen or for those who can tolerate grains. They have minimal negative effect on blood sugar based on the use of protein-rich grains.

At the core of our nutritional approach is a fuel-you-up (versus simply calories-down) mindset aimed at helping you do more of what you love, better. That means maxing out on unprocessed, nutritionally dense, real foods in recipes with great balance as well as taste.

Check out the menu and here's an example of a mix favorite from our DC menu to get your taste buds excited -  Thai Chicken Curry

Any questions? Hit us up at chowhelp@mypowersupply.com and we'll be happy to help. Let us know what you think by reviewing your Mix meals. Nothing helps us make more of what you love and less of what you don’t.

Mix it up,

Erin
