New order system FAQ’s
So we’ve got this new order system. Simpler, better, but also different than the old way which was based on Paypal. So to help you get around while enjoying the new car smell, we’ve put together a series of quick help videos on everything from creating a new account to pausing a recurring order. Also check out these answers to some common questions related to the new system or hit our main FAQ page for more on getting your mitts on our meals.
I’m making a first order, do I need an account?
Yes, so we can make it super easy for future orders. Creating an account takes just a couple minutes, you only have to do it once and all your info (payment, order history, plans, etc.) will be waiting for you. See quick help video.
I want to try a recurring order for the ease and value, but am I getting locked in somehow if I do?
Nope. You can pause, restart or cancel a recurring order anytime right within the system with no fees or sad faces from us. Life intervenes and you should be here ‘cause we’re serving you really well, not because of some artificial barrier.
I’ve got a recurring order now or have ordered from you before, do I need a new account?
Yep, this is a replacement for the Paypal-based approach we used to take. So you’ll need to create a new account with new payment info. But no worries, you only have to do it once and it’s easy as pie to complete in just a couple minutes. Then whenever you order, either recurring or on an occasional basis, all your info will be waiting for you. See quick help video.
When I create a recurring order in the new system, what do I do about my Paypal order?
Tell us and we’ll make sure to cancel your recurring Paypal order so you don’t get double billed. Creating a new account and order doesn’t automatically shut off your existing Paypal order. So cancel that bad boy yourself or let us know and we’ll get it done for you.
How do I pause my recurring order?
Login to your account, go to your dashboard, and click the big blue “Pause” button next to the recurring order you want to pause. Note that you’ll need to do this for each active recurring order. See quick help video.
Can I have separate orders for me and someone else under the same account?
Yep, absolutely. We recommend adding separate items to your cart for each person. This allows each order to get a different name label and be managed separately (e.g. change the order, pause, etc.). Even if you just order a quantity of 2 of the same item (say you want the same meal plan and don’t care about same name labels on both), you can always change mind your later and split them into two separate orders that can have different settings manage them separately. Either way, you’re covered. See quick help video.
I’m a recurring customer and want to change my order to a different plan, how do I do that?
Simple, no more having to email us for manual changes. You can change settings on any recurring order (meal size, number of meals, payment info, etc.) right within your account whenever the spirit moves you. See quick help video.
What are the order deadlines each week and has that changed from before?
The order deadline has been moved to Thurs at midnight (used to be Wednesday midnight). Everything else stays the same. So any orders in by Thursday midnight will be delivered starting Monday of the following week.
Can I use the Mod Your Menu tool with this system?
Yes. The process is just the same as today. Visit the Mod’er page, enter the plan you want to Mod and tweak away.
Can I order a gift certificate?
Gift cards are coming soon in the new system but for now we have a process, it’s manual, but it works. Just shoot us an email with the amount you want to give and we’ll send you a gift code to use.
I’m a coach, where do I go now to get my special price?
We have a new process for coaches. Contact the owner of your gym or studio and they’ll give you a code to use. If you’re an owner and haven’t received a code, just email us at chowhelp@mypowersupply.com.
What happens to my order if for some reason my credit card skips (processing terminology for “doesn’t work”)?
We’ll reach out two days before the order window closes so you’ve got time to get us updated info and can still get your meals for the coming week. If you can’t get back to us by then, your order will be paused until the next cycle when you’ve gotten us corrected info.
What’s with the tax in Virginia?
Food tax (2.5%, half the normal VA sales tax) is, alas, a fact of life for Virginia companies like us. Since these sorts of tax vary by jurisdiction and we haven’t had the system capability to reflect the varying rates, we’ve had to eat it until now. But begin collecting it we must. Not required currently in Maryland or the District but that may well change in which case we’ll adjust accordingly.
Hope these help. If you didn’t find your answer here, you can always pull the email rip cord and we’ll be right back at you. Just hit us up at chowhelp@mypowersupply.com.
