Food Safety + Quality

Great ingredients, loads of culinary skill, really high standards and a whole lot of rigorous food safety processes—we weave all these together to make sure you get food that’s as fresh as it is tasty and good-for-you.

That means taking a great deal of care with all that we make, from fresh ingredients all the way to fully composed meals landing up in your hands.

  • We source super fresh, natural and often locally grown ingredients.
  • All the talented local chefs in our community of independent creators craft meals in commercially licensed kitchens and are REAL Certified for the work they do for Power Supply.
  • We work with a team of food-safety experts to constantly refine and enhance our standards and procedures throughout the meal creation process.

Approach to dietary preferences and food allergies

Managing food allergies is a tough one and we want to help folks wherever we can. We also want to be super clear about our practices so you can make your own informed decisions.

Short story, while we provide a handy way in our order system to avoid certain ingredients in your meals, if you’ve got a moderate to severe food allergy, we’re probably not your best bet.

Why? Because our chefs prepare food in commercial kitchens where these ingredients are used. While we make every effort to keep out the common allergens on our list when customers request standing substitutions, we can’t guarantee that there won’t be any trace elements in meals prepared for you.

It would be great if this allergen realm was simpler, but alas it’s not. So bottom line, check with your doctor before eating our meals if you have food allergies.

Eating Prepared Meals Safely

Beyond all the stuff we do on our end to get you the freshest, tastiest food, there are some important steps you can take on your end too:
